The whole 3 days practice, seeding and racing was crammed into just over 3 hours on Saturday night with most people only getting a couple of gates for practice.
The gate placed about a rocky out crop and a wooden platform was added to help get out of the gate only this was built at angle and the lowest part of the gate 1 and 2 which with the short first straight only place riders were going in gate 4 was out.
Seeding got under away with Scott Beaumont getting a flat tyre on the second straight he would have to sit it out to the end to see if he would qualify.

This year, the various events of this “not to be missed” mountain bike festival have attracted entries from more than 2500 athletes. Close to 50’000 spectators are expected to turn out to enjoy the action and festivities.
The 4X track at Mont Saint Anne is all new for this year, in fact after quick walk up it in the rain they are still building it.
There is a lot of work to get done before practice on Thursday and with the weather being so wet it going to a major effort to have it finished in time.
A quick chat with Phil and he is a bit up against the weather but said “Bromont track is has much better dirt and with 14 corners its a totaly diffrent track to here.
The Track
Starts higher up then last year stright into a set of rock steps down to the first right hand corner, a short stright into a narrow left had berm corner but the berm is very low with wet slippy rocks on the inside which leads into a quad
and then off to the right around another bermed corner into a set of small quads there are well have look in the photo, th eproblem is they are to small to double double and to high and deep to manaul so this will be an intresting part of the track to see how riders get through this section.

Then its on into the old first corner and down set of tables and double to the finish.
