Rd3 Chicksands

Riders have been asking to go back to Chicksands,

although Hamsterley is great course the logistics for a great deal of riders is an issue, we have listened to the majority of riders and although it will not please everyone it will keep a lot more people contesting more rounds of the series which can only be good thing for sport.

Saturday Extra free Gates

Saturday 14th June we will be running free gate practice for anyone who wants to have a go or get that extra practice in. (normal riding fee to pay to Bed Fat Trax club)

Gates will run from 2pm to 5pm

Registration Saturday you can also register and collect your number board ready for Sunday between 2 and 5pm.

Saves time on Sunday so if you can come along and get your number for the series and we can answer any questions you have.

Now this is even more impressive the old guys want to get in on the act!, So if your 40+ there is no reason not to come and race that national series title.

Parking

The main car park is off the main road and has hard standing please park with respect for other people.

IMPORTANT – there is limted parking for maxium of 150 cars at chicksands when the car parks are full you will have to park in the main car park which is a 10 minute ride away. Please arrive early to get a parking place.

Do not block the road or the police will stop the race.

Camping

There is no camping at Chicksands, toilets will be provided but please bring your own water.

Directions to Chicksands/Rowney Warren Woods

Rowney Warren is situated next to the A600 just north of Shefford, in Bedfordshire

How to get there:

M1 junction 13 Summary: 15.4 miles (25 minutes) A507 then onto A421 stay on the A421 bypass untill you see slip road for A600 (High Road) go through Deadmans Cross and the car park is inside forest just after the crossroads on the right hand side.

Follow A421 towards Bedford Rowney Warren is off the A600 just past Deadmans Cross. With the crossing of Northwood End Road cross A600 High Road.

Parking is on right hand side just turn into forest entrance and park either side of the forest track or if oyur early in the car park next to the toilets and hot food.

Parking is off the main A600.

From M1 J15 Other route is via A507 pass Shefford onto A600 but look for turning on left for forest entrace just before cross roads.

If you end up in the sandy lane car park you need to head up the road to the A600 and turn left follow road until you reach cross roads with Northwood End road, entrance to forest car park is on your left.

SAFETY AND MANNERS.

Safety: *No camp fires due to high fire risk. *Dogs will be allowed if on leads. *Spectators must be aware of the dangers of spectator at this Extreme Sports event. Stand in sensible places, pay attention to the riders at all times and never cross the course unless you can clearly see it is safe to do so.
